How to make bingo cards

  1. 1
    Add your words
    At least 24 words for 5 × 5 cards (16 for 4 × 4, 8 for 3 × 3). Add a clue after a colon to read clues aloud instead of words.
  2. 2
    Choose your cards
Pick the card size, free space and number of cards: one per student.
  3. 3
    Print or play online
Download the PDF with a caller’s list, or share a link: each student gets their own card, and you call the words from the same page.

Made for classrooms

  • No two cards are the same, and when your list is long enough no two cards share a winning line.
  • One large card per page, or two per page to save paper.
  • A caller’s list with every word and clue to tick off.
  • Online play with card codes, so you can check a winner in seconds.

Questions teachers ask

How many words do I need?

For 5 × 5 cards with a free space you need at least 24 words; 30 or more gives more variety between cards. 3 × 3 cards need 8 words and 4 × 4 cards need 16.

How many cards can I make?

Up to 200 in one PDF, one large card per page or two per page to save paper. No two cards are the same.

Can I read clues instead of words?

Yes. Add a clue after a colon, like “Lever: a bar that turns on a fulcrum”. The caller’s list shows each clue next to its word.

How do I check a winner when playing online?

Every online card shows a short card code. In “Teacher: call words” mode, type the code to see that card with the words you’ve called marked.
