Questions teachers ask

Why didn't one of my words fit?

Every word has to cross another one. A word that shares no letters with the rest can't be placed. Press New layout, or add a word that shares letters with it.

How many words should I use?

8 to 20 words makes a good crossword. Longer lists still work but make a bigger grid.

Can I print it in black and white?

Yes. The PDF uses black lines on white, with the answer key on its own page.

Can students solve it on a phone?

Yes. Share the link; students tap a square to type, tap again to switch between across and down, and can check their answers.
